Fresh Food,
Healthy Communities

Access to healthy, local food is a foundation of lasting community wellness. Our ReFresh Healthy Food Access Program connected 140 households—nearly 400 individuals—with fresh, locally grown produce in 2025. Together, we distributed 11,490 pounds of food purchased from 27 New Mexico producers, while offering free community cooking classes to increase food security and confidence in the kitchen.

Our Harvest to Health, National Diabetes Prevention, and Walk With Ease programs, serve seniors and adults managing chronic health conditions by making healthy living more accessible, inclusive, and rooted in community connection.

Building Local Food Businesses

Our Food Business Training Program gives food entrepreneurs the tools and confidence to turn good ideas into thriving businesses. Since 2019 , we have supported 88 participants, including our first Spanish-language cohort in 2024 . Participants received hands-on training, mentorship, free commercial kitchen access, and real-world sales opportunities through our cafe, catering, and retail programs.

Jobs with Dignity, Food with Purpose

From our Cafe at Explora to our Grab-and-Go Burritos and TSK product line, we explore sustainable business practices that support good jobs and local producers. In 2025, TSK purchased from 45+ local growers and producers and rolled over 50,000 breakfast burritos, feeding families while fueling the local economy.

Our team also created Albuquerque’s Food Donation Guide—a bilingual resource now used citywide to reduce food waste and connect restaurants with hunger relief organizations. Through innovation and care, TSK continues to prove that good food can be good for business, people, and the planet.

Hands-On Learning, Shared Stories

Our Community Education programs hosted more than 270 workshops in 2025—engaging youth and community members through hands-on cooking workshops.
“I started to pay attention to the ingredients in my meals, how balanced they are, and the importance of food safety. It also helped me realize that cooking doesn’t have to be complicated—just knowing the basics can make a big difference in how I eat and take care of myself.”
—Amy Biehl, High School student
